Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide leadership, education, funding and resources necessary to work for the legalization of gay marriage in all fifty states and the recognition of gay marriage by the federal government.

Vision Statement

Our vision is for the United States of America to reject fear and hatred and embrace love and tolerance by saying yes to civil marriage rights for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals.

Who We Are

Yes on Gay Marriage is an organization formed to work for the legalization of gay marriage in all fifty states and the recognition of those marriages by the federal government.

We are unapologetic in our belief that gender should not be a factor in who is allowed to marry. We are not willing to settle for second-class citizenship in the United States of America.

Yes on Gay Marriage is comprised of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and heterosexual individuals, families, communities and organizations. We are united in our goal for the civil rights of LGBT couples in our country and we welcome your participation as an equal partner.

There are those who suggest America should “settle” for civil unions. We welcome granting all rights currently denied to us, but do not support establishing equal but separate institutions. Americans should never be forced to settle for second-best.
